Oysters on the Bluff
Sunday, January 30th from 3-6 pm
Isle of Hope Marina - 50 Bluff Drive
rain or shine (no refunds)
We are excited to be back on the Bluff in January 2022 to shuck oysters together and celebrate community.
Your ticket includes roasted oysters, chili from The 5 Spot: The Gaslight Group, BBQ sandwiches from Barnes, hot dogs, desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes & River Street Sweets, beer from Moon River Brewing, wine, and lemonade.
At this time, we plan to be back on the Bluff with Covid-19 safety precautions in place. We will be following the guidelines of the City of Savannah and Chatham County for outside gatherings.
If due to Covid-19 conditions, we are not able to gather on the Bluff, we will go to our Plan B, which is a pick up food event with chicken fingers and BBQ similar to what we held in February 2021. All sponsor and ticket benefits will apply to the Plan B event.
Oysters on the Bluff is an annual community celebration and fundraising event for Chatham Savannah Citizen Advocacy, a local nonprofit that recruits voluntary citizen advocates on behalf of people with developmental disabilities in Chatham County. Sponsors and supporters will enjoy roasted oysters, chili from The 5 Spot-The Gaslight Group, hot dogs, BBQ from Barnes, beer, wine, desserts and music on the beautiful bluff at Isle of Hope Marina.

Chatham-Savannah Citizen Advocacy is a 40-year-old community based non-profit organization that recruits, matches and offers support to more than local citizens in voluntary citizen advocacy relationships.
Citizen advocacy is built on one-to-one, freely given personal relationships between two people. One is a person with a developmental disability who has often been excluded from typical community life, and the other is a person who is living a good, ordinary life here in our community.
Citizen advocacy coordinators and board members work under a guiding set of principles in order to make the strongest possible match between people.
Here are 4 key principles that guide our work.
1. Each citizen advocacy relationship is freely given.
2. Each citizen advocate is independent of human services, the citizen advocacy office, and, if necessary, his/her advocacy partner’s family. Loyalty to the individual person allows the advocate to speak out and act with freedom and clarity.
3. Most citizen advocacy matches are established with the hope of developing a long-lasting relationship, some of which may be life-long.
4. Each citizen advocate looks for ways to bring his/her protégé’s interests, gifts and needs to the larger community in ways that are dignified and enhancing to the person.
